Teve Knueppel is an Independent Consultant with a focus on ESG/Sustainability from Munich, Germany. He began his Economic studies at the University of California, Berkeley and later returned to Germany to further pursue studies in Economics at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University. As a consultant in Top-Tier Consulting Companies he has gained extensive experience in a wide-range of industries including Petroleum, Utilities, Healthcare, and Banking & Finance. His work continues to focus on the financial and IT aspects that make businesses successful.
His professional career began with the profitable turnaround of a retail department in a Joint Venture with British Petroleum. Through trustworthy and inclusive communication he engaged with the team and presented concise and strongly supported options for the transition. Because he had developed this trust his proposal was efficiently implemented the client. His recommendations and identification of specific areas of opportunity have allowed the company to continue to realize increased performance and profitability.
Mr. Knueppel joined a Private Equity Start-up as a Junior Business Analyst. In this position he supported the investment team and Managing Partners in the M&A process of two acquisition targets in the US. He conducted the IT due diligence – managing both internal staff and external consultants. He prepared the IT due diligence report which evaluated the IT infrastructure, analyzed the IT carve-out cash flows, and developed a carve-out process with a volume of $12m. He collaborated with the Finance Team in accounting-related duties including budgeting, cash flow planning and monthly reporting. Teve was active in establishing new funds and the fundraising process.
He also worked as a Business Transformation Consultant for IBM. At IBM, he created a specific ESG offering for Banking & Financial Markets with executive partners. As a lead, Teve was also responsible for the dissemination and implementation of this ESG with IBM clients. Additionally, he co-lead a PoC in which they developed a solution for the automation of data collection of Non-Financial Reporting Directive (NDFR) using natural language processing (NLP). Besides ESG, he is involved in numerous M&A processes and large IT due diligence projects. His experience at IBM screening targets and modeling post-merger integrations has allowed him to further improve his knowledge of financial markets and the importance IT integration plays in all aspects of the M&A process.
